Date: 14/06/01 PRESIDENT Bush flew into Brussels yesterday to a hostile reception from demonstrators angry at his stance on climate change. His bumpy ride is expected to continue today (14 June), when he arrives at the Göteborg summit. Environment Commissioner Margot Wallström and Swedish environment minister Kjell Larsson sharply criticised his call for a "science-based" response to global warming, saying he should opt back into the Kyoto Protocol. Meanwhile, Bush claimed "growing support" for his missile defence shield plans after meeting EU leaders at the NATO council.
