EurActiv reports that Rumiana Jeleva, the EU's new commissioner-designate for humanitarian aid, has been asked to clear allegations regarding her husband's links with a business group that have fuelled rumours of a possible conflict of interest, in advance of the European Parliament hearings into the new prospective European Commissioners to be held in January 2010.
