Brussels widens fraud probe

The European Commission launched a widespread inquiry on 16 July 2003 into secret bank accounts and fictitious contracts across the European Commission. Neil Kinnock, European Commissioner for Administrative Reform, is to order the Commission's most senior officials to answer questions to assess the extent of the problem.
