Brussels and Tokyo to trigger sanctions against US sanctions

Following the United States' failure to repeal a trade law declared illegal by the World Trade Organisation, the European Union and Japan informed the WTO's disputes body on 10 November 2004 of their planned retaliatory action i.e. punitive duties on imports from the US.
