Brown seeks deadline on EU regulations

Report of a speech by UK Finance Minister Gordon Brown to the annual conference of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) in Birmingham on 19 November 2003. Mr Brown announced that he would call on European Union governments to set deadlines for getting rid of harmful regulations, as well as opposing any new restrictions on business.
