Brown accused of stifling debate on euro entry

'The UK and the euro', a report published by the (UK) Commons Treasury Select Committee on 28 April 2003, criticises the UK Chancellor, Gordon Brown, for suppressing debate on the assessment of the five economic tests for euro entry. The Chancellor is due to announce his decision on euro entry in early June 2003.
