Britain refuses to join in with EU jobs strategy

EurActiv reported that by refusing to set a national target for employment, the United Kingdom government had set itself on a collision course with the European Commission in the spring of 2011, and was threatening to undermine the 'Europe 2020' strategy for growth that was agreed in the summer of 2010 by the leaders of all 27 EU Member States.
