Britain in Europe: So near yet so far?

Almut Moeller, co-director of ECFR Berlin office, and Susi Dennison, co-director of the European Power programme, discuss ECFR's Britain in Europe Renegotiation Scorecard, and how the fourth basket around welfare and migration can be moved forward.

The Britain in Europe Renegotiation Scorecard is a continuous project to monitor the changes in the British negotiation over EU membership ahead of an in-out referendum. It will be continually revised during the negotiation phase of the referendum process. It is based on over a hundred interviews and conversations with policy makers and politicians in EU member states. The reforms tested are based on public statements by representatives of the British government on the areas of reform sought.
