The United Kingdom Prime Minister Tony Blair met with Poland's President Lech Kaczynski and Poland's Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski for talks on the future of Europe, Warsaw, 27 April 2007. Mr Blair said both nations held similar views on the way forward for the EU Constitutional Treaty. 'I think the basic concept that Poland and Britain have are very much held in common between our two countries. We both want a Europe that is effective, that is practical, but a Europe that is one of sovereign and independent states collaborating and working together'. |
