Date: 07/03/1996 German Euro MP Dagmar Roth-Behrendt has got her priorities right. Roth-Behrendt was due to present her report on the labelling of genetically-modified food to the European Parliament's environment committee on 22 February, the day after her birthday. But Dagmar likes a good party and pleaded with committee chairman Ken Collins to alter the schedule so that the item could be taken a day earlier. Magnanimous Ken agreed and the German MEP duly delivered her report in the safe knowledge that she could celebrate in full later on and to hell with the hangover in the morning. |
