Berlusconi at odds with Prodi’s Commission again

In an unusual rebuke to a head of government who chairs the European Union's rotating presidency, a Commission spokesman said 7 November 2003 that the EU's executive arm did not share Mr Berlusconi's views on Yukos and Chechnya, following comments made by the Italian Prime Minister at the end of the 12th EU-Russian Federation Summit, Rome, 6 November 2003.
