Asia’s rise means we must re-think EU-US relations

In the context of the rise of China and India on the world scene, Werner Weidenfeld, in an article for the journal,'Europe's World', Spring 2007, assessed the ways in which international relations would undergo change in the years ahead and considered a new transatlantic partnership. In a commentary on this article, Marcin Zaborowski of the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) agrees that Europe needs to unite and reinvigorate its foreign policy if it is to count on the global stage.
