Summary: Opinion published by the European Economic and Social Committee on the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in different sectors. Further information: The EESC argues that AI technologies offer great potential for creating new and innovation solutions to improve peoples' lives and the economy, and address challenges in a number of areas. However, like any disruptive technology, AI also carries risks and presents complex societal challenges across the board. Therefore, the EESC recommenda that a broad approach towards AI, covering all its effects (good and bad) on society as a whole, is crucial. |
