Summary:

On 5 December 2018 a coordinated international police action resulted in more than 80 arrests of suspected mafia members. The arrests took place in Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Suriname.

Further information:

'Operation Pollino', as the action was named, was an international raid in order to capture the Calabrian mafia clan NdrĂ ngheta. Large sums of laundered money and drugs were confiscated during the raids.
