The Twelfth Annual Report on the operation of the European Union (Scrutiny) Act 2002 for 2014 as required under section 5 of the Act. The Act underpins the Irish system of EU scrutiny and enables the Houses of the Oireachtas to scrutinise all draft EU legislative measures. It is an important function that brings democratic accountability to Government decisions taken at EU level. |
