Annual Presidential Address to the Federal Assembly

Russia's President Vladimir Putin addressed the country's Federal Assembly on 1 December 2016 for his annual state of the nation conference.

Media highlighted his concilitary tone as regards Russia's foreign policy, a stark contrast to the one used in previous years. However, most of his message seemed to be directed towards the Russian people, reassuring the country that the worst of its economic crisis was over.
