The European Environment Agency (EEA) has joined forces with other international institutions and identified 30 sustainable energy indicators. These indicators, which were published in the form of a report, 'Energy indicators for sustainable development: Guidelines and methodologies', will help policy makers to take the right decisions in the energy sector in order to improve the environment. The report was published in April 2005 by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in cooperation with the EEA, the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), the International Energy Agency (IEA) and Eurostat. |
