Airbus raises A320 output to hit record 40 a month

Airbus will increase its monthly production rate to 40 for its single-aisle A320 Family by the end of 2009. in 2007, Airbus produced 32 A320 Family aircraft per month. Airbus’ decision to continue to ramp-up its production rate is driven by a continuing strong demand for its aircraft and a record backlog in excess of 2,500 aircraft.
