Aid plan for low paid boosts standing of France’s embattled prime minister

After setbacks earlier in 2006 things are starting to look up for Dominique de Villepin, France's Prime Minister as he introduces varous initiatives to help the economic situation of lower paid workers and to alleviate rising transport costs. Unemployment is falling. However, he is unlikely to be a candidate in the French presidential election of 2007.
