Agricultural price trends in the EU in the fourth quarter of 1999

The index of prices for agricultural products in the European Union (EU-15) fell both in nominal terms (-2.2% ) and in real terms (-4% ) in the last quarter of 1999 relative to the corresponding quarter of the previous year. A similar decline in the real output price index was seen for EUR11 (-3.8% ). This decline continues the trend seen throughout 1998 and 1999.
