Adoption of conclusions on ‘Guidelines for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of the Child’

The Council of the European Union adopted on 3 April 2017 a set of conclusions on child rights, based on the 2017 'Guidelines for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of the Child' adopted on 6 March.

The conclusions focus on promoting gender equality and encouraging national partners to adopt national strategies on child rights. The Council reaffirms the EU's support to stakeholders in the field of children's rights and its engagement in the processes protection human rights of all refugee and migrant children.
