Adoption of Annual Action Programme 2017

The AAP 2017 includes 19 projects totalling more than €87 million in a set of areas:

+ Energy, climate change and sustainable urbanisation;
+ Biodiversity and green diplomacy;
+ Responsible business and decent work;
+ Migration management and mobility;
+ Transparency and accountability of EU trade agreements;
+ Raising the profile of the EU through public and cultural diplomacy.

Background information:

Through the Partnership Instrument (PI), the EU cooperates with partners around the world to advance the Union’s strategic interests and tackle global challenges. The PI funds activities that carry EU agendas with partner countries forward, translating political commitments into concrete measures.

The European Commission adopted on 14 June 2017 the Annual Action Programme of its Partnership Instrument.
