Summary:Report published by the European Commission on 8 June 2023, delivering the annual EU Justice Scoreboard. Further information:TheĀ EU Justice Scoreboard provides an annual overview providing comparative data on the efficiency, quality, and independence of justice systems among the Member States of the European Union (EU). This is the eleventh (11th) edition of the Scoreboard, and it comprises figures on 16 new areas. The report also includes an insight into the fight against corruption. It concludes that challenges persist on perception of judicial independence, and there is room for improvement in the digitalisation of justice systems. It also highlights varying degrees of accessibility to justice for people at risk of discrimination and older persons, as well as for victims of gender-bases and domestic violence. The information contained in the EU Justice Scoreboard contributes to the monitoring carried out within the framework of the European Semester, and the Annual Rule of Law Cycle. |
