Summary: Report published by the European Commission on 29 June 2022, comprising its third annual Strategic Foresight Report. Further information: Strategic foresight supports the European Commission on its forward-looking path towards achieving the six headline ambitious presented by its President, Ursula von der Leyen, at the start of her mandate. This report presents a forward-looking strategic reflection on the interactions between the green and digital transitions. It provides a future-oriented analysis of the major role played by digital technologies as well as the influence of geopolitical, economic, social and regulatory factors in the twinning. Based on their analysis, the report identifies ten key areas where action is required, with the objective of maximising synergies and consistency between climate and digital ambitions. |
