2015, European Year of Development – Europe in the world

"Our world, our dignity, our future" was the motto of "2015, the European year of Development". It gave an opportunity to raise awareness about the European Union's external action and Europe’s role in the world. In that year the international community also agreed on the future global framework for poverty eradication and sustainable development.
