16 EU countries back new milk regulation

EurActiv reports that a Franco-German initiative on a new regulation to help hard-hit milk producers, September 2009, was backed by sixteen of the 27 EU member states (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia), paving the way for possible re-regulation of the milk market.
