Summary:Communication adopted by the European Commission on 10 January 2024, outlining the key achievements of the European Year of Youth in 2022. Further information:The European Year of Youth was established by Decision (EU) 2021/2316 in December 2021, following a first announcement by the President of the European Commission during the annual SOTEU address earlier in the year. Pursuant of its Article 7, this Communication outlines key achievements of the Year and priority actions, sustaining the legacy of the Year of Youth. In it, the European Commission proposes measures aimed at supporting and complementing action undertaken at a national level. The accompanying Staff Working Document contains the full report on the implementation, results, and overall assessment of the Year. This Communication was adopted by the European Commission on 10 January 2024. |
