Summary:Recommendation adopted by the European Commission on 15 November 2023, putting forward measures aimed at simplifying and speeding up the recognition of skills and qualifications of third country nationals. Further information:This Recommendation sets out guidance on simplifying and expediting the recognition of the skills and qualifications of third-country nationals by Member States with a view to making the European Union's (EU) labour market more attractive to third-country nationals and to facilitate their integration into the labour market in line with the needs of the economy and society. It applies to situations in which third-country nationals are in the process of obtaining a visa or work and residence permit in a Member State or are already legally resident in the EU. It applies where where recognition of skills and qualifications is required in order to grant rights to a third-country national. The text was adopted by the European Commission on 15 November 2023 as part of a Skills and Talent Mobility legislative package. It was published in the Official Journal on 24 November 2023. |
