Summary: Decision (CFSP) 2020/1126 adopted by the Council of the European Union on 30 July 2020, introducing a number of amendments to Decision (CFSP) 2016/1693 concerning restrictive measures against ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaeda and persons, groups, undertakings and entities associated with them. Further information: Council Decision (CFSP) 2016/1693 set out a legal framework for the EU to apply sanctions autonomously to ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaeda, and individuals and companies associated with or supporting them. The list of targeted entities is reviewed at regular intervals and at least once every six months. The latest biannual review resulted in a list containing 14 persons and 21 entities. In view of the continued threat imposed by them, the Council reviewed the list and added one more person to it. This Decision amends the legislative text accordingly. |
