Summary: The 15th bilateral summit between the European Union and India was held on 15 July 2020. This meeting was held via videoconference. Further information: The two sides adopted a joint statement following the meeting, in which they reaffirm their commitment to strengthen the EU-India strategic partnership. This should be based on shares principles and values of democracy, freedom, rule of law, and respect for human rights. EU-India leaders also adopted a common roadmap to guide their joint action over the five forthcoming years, and a joint declaration on resource efficiency and circular economy. |
