Summary: Proposal presented on 25 September 2019 by the European Commission establishing the position to be taken on behalf of the Union regarding the envisaged amendment of Protocol 4 to the EU-Lebanon Association Agreement. Further information: The Euro-Mediterranean Agreement establishing an Association between the European Community and its Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Lebanon, of the other part aims to establish the conditions for the gradual liberalisation of trade in goods, services and capital. The Agreement entered into force on 1 April 2006. At its next meeting, the Association Council is to adopt a Decision regarding the amendment of the provisions of Protocol 4 to the Agreement concerning the definition of the concept of ‘originating products’ and methods of administrative cooperation. |
