Summary: Reports, analyses and information on the electoral campaign and the aftermath of the European Parliament election held in Lithuania on 26 May 2019. Further information: The election to the European Parliament did not get much attention by the Lithuanian public as it took place on the same day as the second round of the presidential election. The liberal-conservative Homeland Union (TS-LKD) came out on top with 19,74%. The Social Democratic party (LSDP) won 15,88 % of the vote, followed by the ruling centre-right agrarian Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union (LVŽS) with 12,56%. Four smaller parties got one seat each. |
