Further information: Slovenia is the second smallest country in the European Union and is expected to hold eight seats after the election in the European Parliament. The coalition of populist right-wing SDS and conservative People's Party SLS won 26,5% of the votes, while the Social Democrats got 18,6% and Prime Minister Marjan Šarec' LMS 15,6%.
