Surveys showed that the Poles are one of the most Euro-enthusiastic nations in the EU, with more than 90% of votes back its membership of the bloc. The voter turnout was 45,42% in 2019 - the highest-ever for a European election in Poland, where the turnout had been well under 30% in every vote since it became a member in 2004.

The debate over the European Parliament elections in Poland mostly focused on issues such as gay rights, the legacy of the Holocaust in Poland, and the role of the Catholic Church in public life.

PiS won 45,38% of the votes compared to 31,8% in the previous election - the strongest result yet. The opposition European Coalition, made up of the centrist Civic Platform (PO/EPP), rural conservative Polish People's Party (PSL/EPP), Democratic Left Alliance (SLD/S&D), some minor parties and notable centre-left former prime ministers, reached 38,47%. The newly established left-wing Wiosna gained 6, 06% of the votes, while no other party made it over the 5% threshold.
