Further information: Following the publication of an EU-wide strategy to embrace artificial intelligence, the European Commission developed with the Member States a coordinated plan on AI to create synergies, pool data and increase joint investments. To implement such a common strategic research, innovation and deployment agenda the Commission also intensified its dialogue with all relevant stakeholders from industry, research institutes and public authorities. The purpose of this Communication is to launch a comprehensive piloting phase involving stakeholders on the widest scale in order to test the practical implementation of ethical guidance for AI development and use.
