Summary: Report presented on 30 November 2018 by the European Commission on the adoption of delegated acts under Regulation (EC) No 2173/2005 on the establishment of a FLEGT licensing scheme for imports of timber into the European Community. Further information: In 2005, as part of the implementation of its 2003 Action Plan on Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT), the EU adopted Regulation (EC) No 2173/2005 on the establishment of a FLEGT licensing scheme for imports of timber into the European Community (the FLEGT Regulation). Pursuant to Article 11(a)(2) of the FLEGT Regulation as amended by Regulation (EU) 657/2014, the power to adopt delegated acts is conferred on the Commission for a period of five years from 30 June 2014 and the Commission is required to make a report in respect of the delegation of power not later than nine months before the end of the five-year period.
