The United Kingdom: House of Commons: Home Affairs Committee published a report called Home Office delivery of Brexit: immigration on the 14 February 2018. In the report the Committee criticised the delays to the Immigration White Paper and warned of serious problems for immigration service delivery and border security as a result of lack of decisions, proper planning or sufficient resources. The report raised serious questions about the Home Office’s ability to implement the systems and staffing required to deliver proposed Brexit changes and criticised the continued uncertainty over the status of EU nationals. |
