Further information: The Clean Mobility Package includes the following documents: + Communication 'Towards the broadest use of alternative fuels: an Action Plan on Alternative Fuels Infrastructure', aiming to increase the level of ambition of national plans, to increase investment, and improve consumer acceptance; Background information: This package is part of a wider political context to make European industry stronger and more competitive, following up on the Renewed EU Industrial Policy Strategy. It is the second mobility package presented by the Commission in 2017, following the first one put forward in May. This set of proposals was adopted as the COP23 - the international climate conference - took place in Bonn. The Commission presented a Communication on the implementation of the Paris Agreement commitments in March 2016, followed by a 'European Strategy for Low-Emission Mobility' in July 2016. The second Clean Mobility package aims to support the implementation of those principles.The European Commission unveiled on 8 November 2017 its Clean Mobility Package, a set of legislative proposals setting new targets for passenger cars and vans regarding their CO2 emissions, aiming to support the transition to low-emission emission mobility. |
