European Economic Area Council, 14 November 2017

The 48th meeting of the European Economic Area (EEA) Council was held on 14 November 2017.

The Council assesed the overall functioning of the EEA Agreement, focusing on the cooperation between the EU and the EEA EFTA States within its framework. It also held a debate on measures to develop the European data economy.

The meeting was preceded by an informal political dialogue with the EEA EFTA States, including topics like the implifications of the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union (Brexit) and the Eastern Partnership.
