Annual report on the implementation of the EU-Korea Free Trade Agreement

1 July 2017 marked the sixth anniversary of application of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the EU and its Member States and the Republic of Korea. The FTA has been provisionally applied since July 2011. On 13 December 2015 it entered formally into force after ratification by EU Member States.

This is the fifth Annual Report on the implementation of the EU-Korea FTA. It is prepared in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) No 511/2011 implementing the bilateral safeguard clause of the Free Trade Agreement between the European Union and its Member States and the Republic of Korea. The report is accompanied by a Commission Staff Working Document that contains the annual monitoring report on updated statistics on imports from Korea of products in sensitive sectors.
