European ministers responsible for e-government convened in Tallinn to sign a joint e-Government declaration (the so-called Tallinn Declaration) to  reinvigorate Europe's efforts in this area. The objective was for them to agree on a roadmap for the next steps in e-government at both the national and EU levels.
