European Commission conditionally authorises alliance between Lufthansa and SAS

Background and further information:

This alliance includes joint network planning, pricing policy and reciprocal access to frequent flyer programmes on their routes between Germany and Scandinavia.

The European Commission approved on 16 January 1996 a cooperation agreement concluded in May 1995 between Lufthansa and Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS), while also adoption a set of conditions for this authorisation.
