EXPO 2017 – Astana

The selected theme for this edition of the world exhibition was 'Future Energy', encouraging debate on innovative and practical energy solutions and their impacts.

Astana was chosen in November 2012 as the host of the EXPO 2017 by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE). It was the first time a country from the former Soviet Union hosted such event. 115 states and 22 international organizations confirmed their participation in EXPO 2017 in Astana.

The 2017 edition of the World Exhibition was held from 10 June to 10 September in Astana, Kazakhstan.
