Declaration by the High Representative, Federica Mogherini, on behalf of the EU on the occasion of the third anniversary of the downing of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17

On 17 July 2017 Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, made a declaration on behalf of the EU on the occasion of the third anniversary of the downing of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17.

On the same day The Netherlands unveiled a national monument in memory of the 298 people killed in the downing of the plane in 2014 above territory controlled by pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine.
