Antitrust: Commission opens formal investigation into distribution practices of clothing company Guess

On 6 June 2017 the European Commission opened a formal antitrust investigation into the distribution agreements and practices of clothing manufacturer and retailer Guess. The Commission examined whether Guess illegally restricted retailers from selling cross-border to consumers within the EU Single Market.

Guess designs, distributes and licenses clothing and accessories. Guess' apparel is marketed under numerous trademarks, including "GUESS?" and "MARCIANO".
