European Globalisation Adjustment Fund: redundancies in the ICT sector in Finland

The European Parliament's budgets committee approved on 11 May 2017 a proposal to provide Finland with EU aid worth €2.6 million in the context of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) for 821 former workers made redundant by Nokia Network Systems and three of its suppliers and downstream producers. This was confirmed by the plenary session on 17 May 2017.

The proposal was put forward by the European Commission in April 2017.
