Declaration by the High Representative on behalf of the European Union on the alignment of certain third countries with Council Decision concerning restrictive measures directed against certain persons and entities in view of the situation in Egypt

In response to the misappropriation of Egyptian State funds, the EU imposed restrictive measures against 15 individuals in March 2011. These were extend by the Council on 21 March 2017 and until 22 March 2018 and a few neighbouring countries aligned themselves of the EU decision.
