EU-Tunisia Association Council, 11 May 2017

A meeting of the Association Council bringing together Tunisia and the European Union was held on 11 May 2015. The agenda included the following topics:

+ Assessment of the progress made in the implementation of the EU-Tunisia privileged partnership and review of its next steps;

+ Discussion on the priorities of the EU-Tunisia partnership, namely socioeconomic development, trade relations, youth and mobility;

+ Discussion on the political and institutional developments and progress made in the process of democratic transition in Tunisia;

+ Exchange of views on the situation in Libya and on security and counter-terrorism;

+ Signing of an agreement on Creative Europe and on a pilot initiative on integrated local development.

This Association Council was held in paraellel to a 'Tunisian week' organised by the European Parliament together with Tunisian MPs and to other meetings between EU and Tunisian representatives.
