Declaration by the High Representative on the alignment of certain third countries concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine

In response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and deliberate destabilisation of a neighbouring sovereign country (Ukraine), the EU imposed restrictive measures against the Russian Federation in 2014. These were extend by the Council on 13 March 2017 and until 15 September 2017 and a few neighbouring countries aligned themselves of the EU decision.
