Abstract: This paper analyses the prospects for establishing an EU-US free trade area, as well as its implications for the West's relations with South Atlantic players from Latin America and Africa. The authors discuss the Transatlantic Free Trade Area (TAFTA) and "wider Atlantic" concepts by providing their contexts and rationale and highlighting the role they could respectively play in enhancing transatlantic cooperation. |
